ARKANSAS WATERFALLS GUIDEBOOK
How To Find 133 Spectacular Waterfalls & Cascadese in "The Natural State"

CLICK HERE for info  on how to order the guidebook

A list of the tallest waterfalls in the state can be found at the bottom of this page.

The following is TABLE OF CONTENTS of the Arkansas Waterfalls Guidebook (now in color!). Many of the names below have been made up by me or others because the waterfalls simply did not have "official" names.

The Arkansas Waterfall Guidebook includes info for each waterfall that includes a black & white photo, map, description information about how to get to the trailhead or parking spot, walking description of how to get to the falls from the trailhead, and GPS info (Lat/Lon and UTM). The waterfalls are rated in several different ways, including difficulty of getting to, and an ACCURATE height measurement are listed. Some falls you will be able to drive right up to. Others will require a short, easy hike to get to. Many will be several miles down a maintained trail. Still others will be true "wilderness" waterfalls that don't have trails of any kind to them, and will require serious cross-country bushwhacking skills to locate (detailed directions and GPS info in the guidebook will help a LOT, but will still require a difficult bushwhack to get to). There are discussions about when the best time to go waterfall viewing is (and when NOT to find waterfalls!), plus info about waterfall photography, hiking safety, and a number of other general topics. This book is perfect for beginners, or for the seasoned waterfall hunter who can smell one a mile away!

You can view photos of many of these waterfalls in the pages of the Cloudland Cabin Journal at www.Cloudland.net. Check Jan-June 2001 and Dec. 2001 as well as Jan, Feb, March, April 2002.
