These are some of the photographs that were on David's memory card in his camera that was recovered underwater downstream from where he came to rest. He took 115 photos that day, but most of them are duplicate scenes of the ones here. These are just as David shot them - no cropping was done. He was obviously a very talanted photographer! The first few photos of the flock of wild turkeys and elk were taken in Boxley Valley. All the rest were taken in the Boen Gulf area of the Upper Buffalo Wilderness Area in the Ozark National Forest. All photos are copyright David Hadlock.

The next three photographs are of Magnolia Falls in the Boen Gulf area of the wilderness. You can see how much ice there was that day.

Theo photographs below are of Stahle Falls, and were the last ones taken by David. I believe that he was on his way from this waterfall to the waterfall that has now been named David Hadlock Cascade when he fell - he was within sight of the new waterfall, so it is fitting that it now bears his name. Sometime this spring I will take some photographs of Hadlock Cascade and make them available to the family. Since David's spirit will be there with me I think I'll let him push the shutter button to make sure they turn out OK!
